Who are these advocates?
Katelyn and Kendra Wolfgram are a dynamic sister team! Katelyn is in 7th Grade at DC Everest Middle School and Kendra is a sophomore at DC Everest High School! Katelyn and Kendra are both passionate about soccer and fill their free time with camping, biking and watching movies. Katelyn has been an advocate since 5th grade and when asked why she is passionate about being a part of Peyton’s Promise, she said “I like to see a smile on someone’s face and know I made an impact on someone’s life by just volunteering to make a difference”! Kendra has been an advocate since 8th grade and is currently a part of our senior advocate team and is an amazing leader with Peyton’s Promise. Kendra said in her application essay, “Hunger in our world is well known, but not many people are willing to put in the effort in order to end it. I feel that being a part of Peyton’s promise raises awareness and motivates people to end it.” Katelyn and Kendra have been a great addition to our team and we cannot wait to see how they will continue to grow with our organization.
Pop Tabs for Sophia
Peyton's Promise mission statement is to Make the World a Better Place, one can at a time! When our Peyton's Promise Advocate family was hit with the loss of Sophia Van Ermen, we wanted to step up and honor her memory. Before you throw away a CAN, simply remove the pop/beer tab and send it to school with your child or drop it off in one of our drop box locations. Please join us in collecting Pop Tabs to fill a truck and bring it to Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald house was a constant support to the Van Erman family during Sophia's stay in the hospital!
